Dr Hariharan Narendran

Background

Hari is the founder of NeuroCampur, a platform conceived to bring British-Malaysian academic talent, student ambition, and cross-border intellectual collaboration into one visible and future-facing space. NeuroCampur reflects his wider vision to create ecosystems that do not merely connect people, but elevate and empower them. Trained in medicine in Glasgow, Hari spent more than a decade within UK's National Health Service (NHS), building a career that has moved across clinical medicine, academia, diagnostics, and innovation. He gained extensive experience in clinical pharmacology at the University of Liverpool / Royal Liverpool Hospital Trust and later gained significant experience in clinical radiology where he had the opportunity to work in Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge (Neuroradiology), Basildon Hospital (Cardiothoracics) and Broomfield Hospital (General) giving him an unusually broad view of modern healthcare, medical decision-making, and the systems that shape both education and healthcare. After his journey in the NHS, Hari founded Astavalence®, a highly specialised medical education artificial intelligence company, created to innovate current medical education strategies, develop novel solutions to traditional problems and to support institutions think more creatively about the future of teaching, learning, and strategy in an AI-shaped world. Alongside this, Hari is currently pursuing a Doctor in Philosophy at the University of Oxford, where his research explores the intersection of artificial intelligence, clinical education, and equality, diversity and inclusion. He also holds a Master’s in Clinical Education from Wolfson College, University of Cambridge, with a focus on artificial intelligence in education, as well as a Master’s in Health Economics, Policy and Management from the London School of Economics. Hari is the inventor of PathoSchema®, the world’s first digital-platform that uses global analogies to explain complex pathophysiology, now available in 173 countries on both Apple Store and Google Play. In the academic world, he serves as Senior Lecturer in Pathophysiology and Diagnostics at Anglia Ruskin University, where he leads the Pathophysiology and Diagnostics module for Advanced Clinical Practice across both campuses (Chelmsford & Cambridge).
